Software you can rely on.

A dedicated team in Poland builds and runs your websites, apps and custom software, with named contacts and under EU law.

What we develop

Eight services, one team. Choose a service and the points take on its shape.

Custom software

Software that fits your processes, not the other way round: from internal business applications to replacing Excel and Access solutions that have grown over the years.

From first point to product

Six steps from first idea to live operation, each with a tangible result.

  1. IDEA

    Test the idea

It starts with a single thought.

    Typical duration 1–2 weeks

  2. CONCEPT

    Shape the concept

That thought becomes a structure that holds.

    Typical duration 2–4 weeks

  3. DESIGN

    Design and test

    The structure gets an interface.

    Typical duration 2–6 weeks

  4. CODE

    Build in sprints

    The interface becomes working software.

Typical duration 6 weeks to 9 months, depending on scope

  5. LAUNCH

    Go live

    The software goes live.

    Typical duration 1–3 weeks

  6. GROWTH

    Run and evolve

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions companies from German-speaking Europe ask before they start.

01 Which language will we work in?

English or Polish, whichever you prefer. Meetings, offers and documentation can be in either language. English is also the working language of our development teams, so your IT can talk to our developers directly.

We put important decisions in writing so that nothing gets lost between languages or meetings.

02 Is there a time difference, and how do we coordinate?

No, there is no time difference. Poland, like Germany, Austria and Switzerland, is on Central European Time and switches to summer time on the same day. Our working hours are the same as yours.

We work with the tools you already use, such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Jira or Azure DevOps. Sprint demos and a weekly status meeting are a fixed part of every project; quick questions are settled in between by chat or phone.

03 Which law governs the contract, and how is invoicing handled?

Poland is an EU member state, so we work under the same legal framework as you. On request, we conclude the contract under German law, drawn up in English or Polish. We agree liability and the place of jurisdiction in a way that is appropriate for your project.

We invoice companies in the EU in euros, net of VAT. You account for the VAT yourself under the reverse-charge mechanism, as with other service providers from elsewhere in the EU. Clients in Switzerland receive invoices without Polish VAT; whether Swiss reverse-charge tax (Bezugsteuer) applies is a matter of Swiss law.

04 Who owns the source code and the usage rights?

You do. Once paid in full, we transfer the rights to the code we develop specifically for you. Polish copyright law requires every field of exploitation to be named explicitly in the contract, so we list them all, from reproduction and modification to distribution and operation.

If you wish, the repository lives in your account from day one. Open-source libraries we use remain under their respective licences; we document them in a licence overview.

05 How do you handle data protection and the GDPR?

The GDPR applies in Poland just as it does in Germany and Austria. Your data does not need to leave the EU for us to work together. If we need access to personal data, we conclude a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.

In development we work with anonymised or synthetic test data wherever possible. Only the people who need it get access to production systems, and hosting in Germany or elsewhere in the EU is possible for every project.

06 How do you ensure software quality?

With fixed rules rather than good intentions: every code change is reviewed by a second person before it is merged. Automated tests run on every change, and quality assurance is a dedicated role in the team, not a task for the last day of the project.

You can see the status for yourself: every two weeks we show you working software, and you can try things out in the test environment at any time. For security-critical applications we also schedule penetration tests by external specialists.

07 What does a project cost?

That depends on the scope, and a reliable figure is only possible once we understand your project. After the first call you receive an effort range; after the concept phase, a binding offer.

Depending on the model, we bill a fixed price per milestone, by effort with monthly invoicing and transparent time tracking, or as a monthly flat fee. Because software development costs less in Poland than in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, our day rates are usually economical, without you having to compromise on experience or quality.

08 Will you come to our offices?

Yes. We are happy to come to you for the kick-off, workshops, important acceptance meetings and go-live. Many cities in German-speaking Europe can be reached from Poland by direct flight in under two hours.

Day-to-day collaboration happens by video, which keeps costs and travel time down. Travel costs are agreed in advance as part of the offer. And you are very welcome to visit us too.

09 What happens after go-live?

We stay. In the first weeks after launch we support operations particularly closely. After that, we take on maintenance and further development under a maintenance contract: updates, security patches, monitoring and bug fixing.

We set response times by priority, for example for critical incidents, restricted functions and minor bugs. Which times make sense depends on how business-critical your application is.

10 How do we get started?

Write to us via the contact form or at team@webnest-ideas.pl, ideally with a few sentences about your goal and timeframe. We’ll get back to you personally, usually on the next working day, and arrange a first video call of about 30 minutes. If you wish, we’ll sign a non-disclosure agreement beforehand.

Afterwards you receive a written assessment. For larger projects we recommend a short concept phase as a first, separately commissioned step: you get a solid plan and get to know how we work before you commit.
